3 Seasons Later, What's Left Of Husky CFP Title-Game Team

From the players who remain, just a handful appeared in the showcase outing against Michigan.

While a trip to the College Football Playoff national championship game for the University of Washington still might seem like it happened only yesterday, the Husky roster tells a decidedly different story.

Just 10 players remain who were part of that team, including kicker Grady Gross, who only the week before rejoined the UW, bumping up the remnants into double digits.

Of those 10, eight are scholarship players.

And of those eight, just three appeared in the game, which was won by Michigan 34-13, in edge rusher Jacob Lane, offensive guard Geirean Hatchett and Gross.

Of course, one of the Michigan players from back then was linebacker turned edge rusher Hayden Moore, who transferred to the UW not long after the game was played in Houston and is in his third year with the Huskies.

"It's cool to have some of the guys from the natty on the team still," said Husky wide receiver Rashid Williams, who is one of them.

Following are updates on each of the Huskies' title-game 10 and where their careers stand:

Aidan Anderson -- A walk-on offensive guard, the 6-foot-5, 325-pound Anderson enters his fourth Husky season practicing diligently but still awaiting his first snaps in a regulation UW game.

Parker Cross -- Another walk-on, this 6-foot-2, 290-pound Husky center made the trek to Texas. He's played in just one Husky game so far, in last December's 38-10 LA Bowl victory over Boise State.

Elinneus Davis -- The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Davis has gone from a redshirting freshman who watched the title game and lacked confidence in his abilities back then to a starting defensive tackle, confidently coming off 10 game-opening assignments in 2025.

Soane Faasolo -- Another redshirting freshman for the title-game team, the 6-foot-8, 320-pound Faasolo was a four-game starter in 2024, played in every game last season in reserve or on special teams, and is poised to mix it up again when needed,

Grady Gross -- A sophomore for the title game, Gross came away with 25- and 45-yard field goals against Michigan and an extra point.

Geirean Hatchett -- The older Hatchett was a reserve offensive lineman who appeared in the championship outing and since has played briefly at Oklahoma and started every UW game in 2025, and is back for a seventh college season.

Landen Hatchett -- One of the Huskies' better freshmen back then, he watched the championship game while using crutches after tearing up a knee in practice before the CFP semifinals game and Sugar Bowl match-up against Texas.

Elishah Jackett -- A freshman offensive tackle, Jackett has struggled to put on weight and consequently hasn't appeared in a Husky game yet. Entering his fourth season, he's getting closer, now carrying a 6-foot-7, 295-pound frame.

Jacob Lane -- The 6-foot-5, 260-pound edge rusher has played in more games than all of these lingering Huskies, appearing in 34 outings, foremost that championship game against Michigan as a freshman.

Rashid Williams -- The wide receiver was a freshman redshirt who watched everything take place in Houston. After earning a starting job only to suffer a season-ending injury in 2025, Williams is poised to play a major role for the current team.
