Wisconsin Commits Make it Known Who They Want Next After Mallinger Twins

As Wisconsin football continues to dominate in-state recruiting for the first time under head coach Luke Fickell, the Badgers landed another two key pieces to their 2027 recruiting class: Sussex (Hamilton) offensive linemen twins Hunter and Reece Mallinger.
The verbal pledges from the two offensive linemen brought Wisconsin up to seven commitments in the class, all of whom hail from the Dairy State.
Now, the Badgers' class is really picking up steam. But there's one more key target from inside the state who remains uncommitted: tailback Kingston Allen from Green Bay (Notre Dame).
The consensus four-star prospect is considered the top player in the state by 247Sports and the No. 2 player by On3/Rivals. Regardless, both recruiting services have him as one of the top tailbacks in the nation.
Wisconsin and new position coach Jayden Everett have heavily recruited the star halfback, of course, but the Badgers' recent commits are putting in plenty of work as well.

Tight end Korz Lorken from Iola and safety Dustin Roach from Waukesha are among the Wisconsin commits publicly campaigning for Allen to pledge to the Badgers next. But make no mistake; the entire class of 2027 thus far is making an effort to land the star tailback.
With the Badgers this hot inside the state, most of the dominoes have already fallen. But Allen — whose official visit to Madison is set for May 28-31 — is the last big one still standing.
What Allen's commitment would mean for Wisconsin

With most of the top talent inside the state locked up (seven of the top 10 prospects have verbally pledged to Wisconsin), Allen would essentially make it a clean sweep for the Badgers
Now, though the star tailback has gained national recognition with his consensus four-star rating, he remains rather lightly recruited. His lone Power Four offers are Wisconsin and Northwestern, though he's visited Minnesota, Iowa and Iowa State as well.
Still, the Badgers are going to trust their evaluation here and adding a blue-chip tailback after missing out on one in the 2026 recruiting class would be massive, especially for a school that fancies itself "RBU."
What's more, there's already four local offensive linemen on board in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Imagine an offensive line almost entirely from Wisconsin, blocking for a home-grown tailback. If that takes you back to the Badger glory days...that might be the point.
