Apex Legends Neon Network Collection Event: Valkyrie Prestige Skin, Cosmetics and more!

  • The Neon Network Collection Event brings 24 limited time cosmetics to the game.
  • Valkyrie gets the newest Mythic rarity Prestige Game, the first with a dive trail.
  • The Collection Event will run until August 8th when Season 18 launches.

The Neon Network Collection Event in Apex Legends is doing something a little different this time around. It has all the usual trappings of a collection event such as 24 new cosmetics to buy and collect and an heirloom quality mythic item in the Apex Interceptor. But there are a few new additions to this collection event with the Data Node Retrieval. Everything you need to know to get the most out of the Neon Network Collection Event is here.

24 Neon Network Cosmetics

As with all collection events there will be 24 new limited time cosmetics including Legend skins, weapon skins, banner frames, holo sprays and more. There are 12 epic cosmetics that can be bought for 1,000 Apex Coins or 800 crafting materials each and 12 Legendaries that can be bought for 1,800 Apex Coins or 2,400 crafting materials each.

The Legends who are receiving Legendary Skins with this collection event include; Lifeline, Gibraltar, Ash, Ballistic, Caustic and Vantage. Once you collect all 24 cosmetics you’ll unlock the Valkyrie Prestige Skin, the Apex Interceptor.

You can also buy collection event loot packs for 700 Apex Coins each and they will always contain one cosmetic from the event. There are also two bundles in the Neon Network event store that will save you a few bucks if you purchase those first.

Valkyrie Prestige Skin, the Apex Interceptor

The fifth prestige skin to be released is Valkyrie’s Apex Interceptor, the first non-launch Legend to receive one. The Apex Interceptor Skin like all other Prestige Skins is themed on the idea of Titan Pilot, which isn’t a stretch for Valkyrie who has always wanted to be a Titan Pilot, following in the footsteps of her father from the Titanfall series.

What sets Valkyrie’s Prestige Skin apart is that it’s the first of them that comes with a special dive trail. Respawn Developers have said that they would be giving dive trails to the other Prestige Skins in time, but Valkyrie was the first to launch with it. Players will also be able to use this dive trail on any Legend once they unlock it.

The Valkyrie Prestige Skin also has its own unique finisher where she rises into the air, summons the shards that form her dive trail and launch them into her victim.

Node Tracker: Battle Royale Takeover

The big change with the Neon Network Collection Event is the Node Tracker: Battle Royale Takeover. Respawn Developers have taken the free reward tracker and merged it with the Limit-Time Mode game for this event.

Throughout the map in Trios and Duos there will be special data nodes that players can go to and hack in order to collect special data. Doing this will reward the player with special points and currency they can use in a new special shop where they can purchase special cosmetics.

Some of these cosmetics include a Loba skin, a R-301 skin, some thematic loot packs and more. Players will also be able follow along with the story that was started in the recent cinematic Kill Code.

Even after you finish buying all the cosmetics from the shop using compute nodes, you can continue to earn them and use these points to help finish off your battle pass.

Neon Network Store Tab Sales

Finally, here are the sales and bundles that are included in the Neon Network Collection Event store tab. The big bundles include Gibraltar’s Bionic Bodyguard and 7 event loot packs for 5,000 Apex Coins, which would save you 600 Apex Coins. The other is the Night Cat Bundle for Vantage’s Skin and 3 event loot packs for 2,500 Apex Coins, saving you 300 Apex Coins.

There will also be other rotating items for sale throughout the two weeks the event is active. The Neon Network Collection Event will end on August 8th just before the launch of Season 18.
