Here’s How to Obtain Fyr’alath, the Dreamrender in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Patch 10.2 from the Amirdrassil Raid

  • Fyr’alath, the Dreamrender is a Legendary 2-handed strength weapon for Death Knights, Warriors and Paladins in Patch 10.2.
  • Players can obtain Fyr’alath both from personal loot and Mythic group loot with a mechanic for bad luck protection.
  • Fyr’alath, the Dreamrender can be obtained by participating in weekly raid attempts in Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope.

A new legendary weapon was introduced in the Amirdrassil raid and is an extremely powerful piece of equipment. Every Death Knight, Warrior and Paladin are going to want to get their hands on this two-handed axe. The good news is that you don’t necessarily need a good raid group or a Mythic kill on Fyrakk in order to have a chance, but they would definitely improve your odds.

Fyr’alath Stats

The new Legendary 2-handed axe drops from Fyrakk the Blazing, the final boss of the Amirdrassil raid. It has an item level of 496, over 1000 Strength, nearly 400 Critical Strike and 667 Haste. But stats are just numbers, the real fun comes from Fyr’alath’s two special abilities.

On use you can unleash the Rage of Fyr’alath to charge towards your target and swing repeatedly, dealing a massive amount of Shadowflame damage over 3 seconds to all who stand in your way. This ability has a 2 minute cooldown.

The on-equip ability allows your attacks to apply Mark of Fyr’alath, dealing substantial Shadowflame damage over 15 seconds. Upon activation of the use ability above, Fyr’alath draws in the flaws from all nearby marks to increase its damage by 10%.

Obtaining Fyr’alath, the Dreamrender

Obtaining Legendary Weapons in World of Warcraft has always been a challenge and Fyr’alath is no different. Getting the weapon is only the first step as it cannot be used properly until you finish a quest line. However, getting the weapon to start this quest line might be one of the easier aspects of its acquisition, especially the longer you keep at it.

Players should know that you can obtain Fyr’alath from defeating Fyrakk the Blazing on anything difficulty, even raid finder. Though the chances are much more rare the lower the difficulty. This doesn’t mean players will have to run every difficulty of Amirdrassil every week for the best chance. Blizzard clarified in a post, “As with Nasz’uro, completion on higher difficulties will include your chances from all uncompleted lower difficulties that week–this also includes the cumulative increase in chances for future weeks.”

Blizzard has also added in an item that will help protect players from a string of bad luck, the Greater Ember of Fyr’alath, which you’ll receive when you defeat Fyrakk the Blazing. Players also have a chance of obtaining a Lesser Ember of Fyr’alath from bosses on Heroic or Mythic difficulty. These items will slowly but surely increase your chance of obtaining Fyr’alath on a Fyrakk kill.

The Questline for Fyr’alath

As with most Legendary Weapons introduced in World of Warcraft throughout the years, to unlock the true potential of this axe you’ll need to complete a series of quests which includes some Enchanting, Inscription and Leatherworking.

Since obtaining the very first Fyr’alath on their world first kill of Fyr’akk the Blazing, Echo has documented their quest in unlocking the legendary weapon's full potential. A complete guide to all the quests and required crafting components can be found here.
