Florida was off last weekend but is riding a two-game win streak since the Kentucky loss, beating Vanderbilt and South Carolina in succession and moving to third place in the division standings looking ahead to a brutal stretch to finish the 2023 season.

Georgia is also coming off an open week, sitting at No. 6 nationally in scoring, 7th in scoring defense, and 5th in total passing production, but looking for options now after star tight end Brock Bowers underwent surgery to repair an ankle injury.

Expert predictions

Most analytic models are projecting Georgia will defeat Florida outright.

That includes the College Football Power Index, a computer predictive tool that uses data points from both teams to simulate games 20,000 times and pick winners.

The index revealed that Georgia won out in 85.2 percent of its simulations for the matchup, while Florida won in the remaining 14.8 percent of sims.

Taking the FPI's projected scoring margin for both teams against average opponents, the computer predicts Georgia will defeat Florida by 15.1 points in the game.
