College football schedule, picks: Week 0 games you should watch on Saturday
All times Eastern
No. 13 Notre Dame vs. Navy. Our first look at the quarterback who could put the Irish in the College Football Playoff as ACC all-time TD leader Sam Hartman steps under center in his debut for the team, working behind one of the nation's best lines, and looking to make a good first impression. Navy introduces new coach Brian Newberry, who will set the Middies backs against a tough Irish front seven. 2:30 p.m. on NBC and fuboTV (Try for free)

UTEP at Jacksonville State. JSU's first game as an FBS program comes at home in front of what should be a raucous crowd and with a potent offense led by quarterback Zion Webb, who had 23 combined TDs a year ago and has an aggressive ground game that posted over 400 yards per game behind him. 5:30 on CBSSN and fuboTV (Try for free)
Hawaii at Vanderbilt. This was a 63-10 demolition in Vandy's favor last year but this edition should be closer, albeit still a testing ground for the Dores' offense led by quarterback A.J. Swann that should work well running the ball on the Warriors. Vanderbilt closed out strong a year ago, beating Kentucky and Florida, which could be the jumping off point for Clark Lea to build something worthwhile. 7:30 p.m. on SECN and fuboTV (Try for free)
Ohio at San Diego State. The Aztecs get the home field edge and are expected to play strong defense at the line, but this game marks the return of Ohio quarterback Kurtis Rourke, fresh off his ACL tear, and working with a group of elite receiving targets. Rourke was good for almost 70% throwing the ball and was the MAC's top passer before last year's injury and could emerge as a draft prospect this fall. 7 p.m. on FS1 and fuboTV (Try for free)
San Jose State at No. 6 USC. Tune in for an early look at the Trojans' high-flying offense behind Heisman quarterback Caleb Williams and another batch of top-flight receivers, but more importantly how this defense may have improved (or not) over the offseason. It'll get tested early by Spartan quarterback Chevan Cordeiro, an efficient passer working behind a good line on an efficient offense that doesn't turn the ball over a ton. 8 p.m. on Pac-12 Network and fuboTV (Try for free)
