College football recruiting: 5-star WR Jaime Ffrench sets spring visits

Consensus five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, one of the highest-rated players at his position in the 2025 college football recruiting rankings, will be taking a tour of some of top-flight programs this spring on some notable visits.
Ffrench, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound wideout from Jacksonville, Fla., will take in four blue-chip visits over the next several weeks, including...

- Ohio State (March 30)
- Texas (April 6), and
- Tennessee (April 8)
Despite those visits, insiders still project Alabama to be the favorite to earn Ffrench's commitment.
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors the Crimson Tide by a 62.8 percent margin. Ohio State is second at 23.2 percent, and Florida State is third at 10.7 percent.
247Sports Crystal Ball predictions also project Alabama to sign the wide receiver, with three analysts siding with the Tide, including director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong, who has a 91.54 percent prediction success rate.
2025 College Football Recruiting Rankings
Ffrench has emerged as the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2025 college football recruiting rankings, when taking an average of all four national recruiting services.
He is regarded as the No. 3 ranked wide receiver in his class and the No. 2 overall player from the Sunshine State.
During his varsity career at Mandarin High in Jacksonville, the wide receiver has amassed 2,034 yards in 31 games, catching 114 balls for an average of 17.8 yards per reception. He has 21 touchdown grabs in his varsity career.
Ffrench is coming off his best high school campaign this past season, with 62 catches for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging over 20 yards per reception.
