The Texas Rangers routed the Houston Astros in Game 6 of the ALCS on Sunday night in Houston. Texas scored five runs in the ninth inning to win the game 9-2 and force a decisive Game 7 on Monday night at Minute Maid Park.

The Rangers have now gone 7-3 this postseason and have gone a perfect 7-0 on the road.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

longest road win streak to start a postseason:

1996 Yankees: 8 (entire PS run on road)

2023 Rangers: 7 * active

2005 White Sox: 6 (entire PS run on road)

The Rangers swept the Tampa Bay Rays in two games in the wild card series, then took two road games from the Baltimore Orioles in an ALDS sweep. Now, they've taken all three games played in Houston - while losing all three games at home - in the ALCS.

Adolis Garcia delivered the big blow in the ninth inning of Game 6, connecting on a grand slam. Nathan Eovaldi stepped up and pitched well, going 6.1 innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out four. He's now 4-0 this postseason.

Game 7 will be played on Monday at 8:03 p.m. ET. Veteran right-hander Max Scherzer will make his second start of the postseason for Texas while right-hander Cristian Javier pitches for Houston. He's 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA in these playoffs.

The NLCS will also play on Monday night. It will be Game 6 in Philadelphia as the Phillies look to close out the Diamondbacks and the D'Backs look to force a Game 7.
