Nathan Eovaldi Joins Elite List in Playoff Lore with ALCS Game 6 Gem

In this story:
The Texas Rangers beat the Houston Astros 9-2 on Sunday night in Game 6 of the ALCS.
As a result, we will get a Game 7 to be played Monday night in Houston.
Adolis Garcia popped a huge grand slam in the ninth inning of Game 6, but Nathan Eovaldi also deserves credit, delivering another massive performance on the mound.
The righty, who signed with Texas last offseason, went 6.1 innings. He allowed just two runs on five hits and struck out four. This continues a careers worth of playoff greatness for Eovaldi, who helped the Red Sox win the 2018 World Series.
Per Buster Olney of ESPN, Eovaldi has joined a very small group in playoff history. He put this tweet out BEFORE Game 6:
From @EliasSports: Nathan Eovaldi is 7–1 with a 2.56 ERA over his nine career postseason starts. Only two pitchers in history won at least eight of their first 10 postseason starts: David Wells (1995 to 1998) and Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez (1998 to 2000). They both went 8–1 through 10 starts.

After the win, Eovaldi is now 8-3 in his playoff career. He has made 15 appearances in the playoffs, so not all of his losses were attained via starts. He has a 2.87 career postseason ERA.
He went 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA in 25 games this regular season.
In his 12th major league season with the Dodgers, Marlins, Yankees, Rays, Red Sox and Rangers, he's 79-73 in his career with a 4.10 ERA.
Game 7 will be played at 8:03 p.m. ET on Monday. Max Scherzer (TEX) goes against Cristian Javier (HOU).
