Los Angeles Dodgers Ace Hits Major Milestone in Injury Recovery

In this story:
Los Angeles Dodgers ace Walker Buehler has hit a major milestone in his recovery from Tommy John surgery.
The right-hander has begun throwing off a mound and is expected to come back later this season and help the Dodgers chase another National League pennant.
The latest update appears from the Yahoo! Sports fantasy baseball portal:
Walker Buehler (elbow) has progressed to throwing off a bullpen mound.
Advice: Buehler isn't expected to return to the Dodgers' starting rotation until the late stages of the season, but it's a positive sign that he's already resumed throwing off a bullpen mound. The 28-year-old fantasy ace underwent his second career Tommy John surgery last August and is continuing to make steady progress on his rehabilitation.
When healthy, Buehler is one of the best pitchers in baseball so any return to the Dodgers this season is a welcome one.
He helped the Dodgers win the World Series in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and owns a lifetime 46-16 record and a 3.02 ERA.
Buehler is a two-time All-Star (2019 and 2021) who led the league in win-loss percentage in 2019 at the age of 24. He has received Top-10 Cy Young votes in two separate seasons as well.
The Dodgers enter play on Saturday at 24-15 and in first place in the National League West. They have won eight of their last 10 games and are three games ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
LA will play the rival San Diego Padres tonight at 7:15 p.m. ET.
