Seattle Mariners Provide Positive Injury Updates on J.P. Crawford and Jarred Kelenic

In this story:
The Seattle Mariners provided a good injury update this week on rehabbing starting pitcher Bryan Woo, and now they've provided positive updates on both J.P. Crawford and Jarred Kelenic.
The Mariners enter play on Thursday at 65-55 and 1.0 game back in the chase for the third and final wild card spot in the American League, and they appear set to get both players back, albeit Crawford will be back much sooner.
The following update comes from the Rotowire fantasy baseball portal:
Crawford (concussion) could return to the Mariners as early as Sunday's series finale in Houston, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Crawford landed on the 7-day concussion injured list last Friday, following a collision last Wednesday with teammate Eugenio Suarez. He's shown steady improvement throughout this week and will soon report to High-A Everett for a quick minor-league rehab stint. Jose Caballero and Dylan Moore have been sharing starts at shortstop in his absence and Julio Rodriguez has been hitting leadoff.
Crawford has been one of the leaders for the Mariners this season, and the catalyst of their re-born offense. He's hitting .266 with 10 home runs.
As for Kelenic, who has been out with a broken foot:
Kelenic has removed the walking boot from his fractured left foot and resumed some baseball activities, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
He's right at the four-week mark of what was expected to be a 4-to-6 week period of wearing the boot, so Kelenic looks to be progressing nicely. Kelenic will continue to ramp things back up at the Mariners' spring training complex in Arizona before eventually going out on a rehab assignment. The club remains optimistic that he'll be ready to return in early September.
Also good news for the streaking Mariners, who do need all the help offensively they can get as they try to chase down the Toronto Blue Jays.
He's hitting .252 with 11 homers, 45 RBI and 12 stolen bases. He's also played good outfield, runs the bases well and brings a spark to the lineup when he plays.
The Mariners take on the Royals on Thursday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. ET.
