Tampa Bay Rays Lose Multiple Key Contributors to Injury as Playoffs Loom

In this story:
The Tampa Bay Rays are 94-61 and own the second-best record in the American League, but despite that, fans can't feel too good about their World Series chances right now.
The injuries are piling up for the Rays, who are going for their first title in team history. They've lost starting pitchers Jeffrey Springs, Drew Rasmussen and Shane McClanahan for the season, not to mention that they are without Wander Franco, their best player.
In addition to those absences, the team has received ominous injury updates on infielder Brandon Lowe and pitcher Jason Adam.
With regards to Lowe, he's out 4-6 weeks with a fractured kneecap.
Per Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Florida:
BREAKING: Kevin Cash said #Rays Brandon Lowe is out 4-6 weeks with a fracture in his knee after fouling a pitch off of it yesterday.

Lowe is hitting .231 this season with 21 homers and 68 RBI. He's posted a .771 OPS and had four home runs over his last 15 games.
With regards to Adam, the news is also bad, as he's battling an oblique issue. He just returned from an oblique issue and Friday was his first appearance back.
Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times:
#Rays Adam said oblique discomfort is in a different spot than previous strain but feels more severe. Headed for imaging.
