Toronto Blue Jays' Alek Manoah Cleared of Any Injury

In this story:
As the Toronto Blue Jays try to figure out what has caused the downfall of starting pitcher Alek Manoah this year, they have ruled out injury.
Per Blue Jays reporter Ben Nicholson-Smith:
Per sources, Alek Manoah is slated to join the #BlueJays’ triple-A affiliate in Syracuse today after undergoing a wide range of medical tests in Toronto over the last couple weeks. With no major structural issues, he's now preparing to build back up. More @Sportsnet shortly.

It's been a stunning fall for Manoah, who finished eighth in the AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2021 and then finished third in the Cy Young voting in 2022. He's 3-9 this season with a 5.87 ERA. In addition to those numbers, he's also given up 15 home runs in just 87.1 innings.
The team sent him back to the Florida Complex League earlier this year before bringing him back to the majors, and then sent him to Triple-A again.
With the Blue Jays in the midst of a playoff race, they can ill-afford to let Manoah try to figure things out at the major league level, but they certainly need him to get right moving forward. He's under contract through 2027 and figures to be a big part of the team's future.
The Jays enter play on Thursday at 70-57 and 1.0 game back of the third and final wild card spot in the American League. They will take on the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday night.
First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.
