FOX Sports Experts Make World Series Predictions For Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks

The World Series is officially underway, and a trio of baseball legends locked in their picks right before the latest Fall Classic got underway.

Derek Jeter, David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez once again made their predictions for the series as the FOX Sports pregame show came to a close. Sitting right down the third base line at Globe Life Field, they each foretold a tight series between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Considering Jeter has five rings, Ortiz had three and Rodriguez has one, there may not be many other people who could handicap the upcoming series with more expertise.

"Yeah, I mean, it really could go either way, but I'll tell you what," Jeter said. "I think the Rangers win this in six."

As he did prior to the ALDS and ALCS, Ortiz butted in to hit Jeter with a "Not so fast" right out of the Lee Corso handbook, countering the former New York Yankees captain with the opposite pick.

"What concerns me, once again, is Texas not winning at home," Ortiz said. "Being said, I gotta go Diamondbacks in seven."

Rather than siding with the former Boston Red Sox designated hitter, Rodriguez stuck with his old Yankees teammate by picking the Rangers, where he played from 2001 to 2003.

"The world has no idea how good this Diamondbacks team is, they're gonna find out," Rodriguez said. "But because the Rangers are at home, I'm gonna go Rangers in seven."

The Rangers are hosting Games 1 and 2, while Games 3 through 5 are scheduled to be in Arizona. Potential Games 6 and 7 would be back in Arlington.

According to BetMGM, the Rangers are favored to win the series with minus-175 odds. The Diamondbacks' odds are sitting at plus-145.
