J-Rod, De La Cruz and Rutschman Help Headline MLB's Top Jersey Sellers of 2023

In this story:
As the Major League Baseball regular season comes to an end this weekend, it's time to do some housecleaning on the 2023 season.
MLB.com released its list of the Top-20 selling jerseys for this season. You can see the full list here.
Shoehi Ohtani of the Angels had the top-selling jersey but Julio Rodriguez (Mariners) finished seventh while a pair of Cincinnati Reds also finished in the top 20.
Joey Votto (13th) and Elly De La Cruz (16th) were on the list while Adley Rutschman of the Orioles was 20th.
It's great to see some great young stars from non-big markets on the list, while also seeing Votto get honored for his great career.
1) Rodriguez is one of the most popular young players in all of baseball. At just 22 years old, he's one of the new faces of the sport. He's made two All-Star Games and participated in back-to-back home run derby's. He's posted a 30/30 season this year and has the Mariners just 1.0 game back of the final wild card spot in the American League.
2) Votto is on the opposite end of the spectrum. One of the most accomplished players of his generation, he's a six-time All-Star and a former MVP. He could very well be playing his final games this weekend, but no decision has been made on his future.
3) De La Cruz is one of the most exciting prospects that baseball has seen in years. His mixture of speed and power will have the Reds in contention for years to come. He's hitting .235 since his June call-up with 13 homers and 35 steals.
4) Rutschman was an All-Star this year for the first time and has helped lead the Orioles to a 100-win season and an AL East crown. He's got 20 home runs and 79 RBI.
The regular season wraps up on Sunday for all teams except the Marlins and Mets, who have to finish a suspended game on Monday.
