Miami Marlins Go Viral For Awesome Post-Trade Deadline Promotion

In this story:
The Miami Marlins acquired slugging infielder Jake Burger from the Chicago White Sox at the trade deadline on Tuesday and immediately capitalized with a killer promotion.
The Marlins host the Phillies on Wednesday night at loanDepot park and will be offering $5 burgers all game long. The promotion is just for one night.

In the world of ballpark concessions, $5 for a burger is a true steal, so good on the Marlins promotions and marketing team for coming up with this one.
Miami is also undoubtedly looking for ways to get fans in the ballpark as the team pushes for its first playoff berth since the COVID 2020 season. In addition to Burger, the team acquired David Robertson at the trade deadline, as well as slugger Josh Bell.
Miami is 57-51 and 0.5 games back in the National League wild card race. They are tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks at 0.5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers. The San Francisco Giants and Philadephia Phillies hold the top two spots.
Left-hander Braxton Garrett pitches in that game for Miami while the Phillies send out Zack Wheeler.
Burger should help a Marlins team that has been deficient in the power department this year. He's hitting in the sixth spot in the lineup in his Marlins debut and comes in with 25 homers and 52 RBI.
The 27-year-old is in his third year in the big leagues, all with the White Sox and now the Marlins.
He's hitting .214 on the season and is carrying an .806 OPS.
