MLB Announces Atlanta Braves' Truist Park as Host Site For 2025 All-Star Game

The Atlanta Braves are set to host the MLB All-Star Game for the fourth time in franchise history and the first time since they moved to Truist Park.

The Atlanta Braves will host the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, commissioner Rob Manfred told reporters Thursday afternoon.

This will mark the fourth time the Braves have hosted the All-Star Game in franchise history, the third time they've done so since moving to Atlanta and the first time since they left Turner Field for Truist Park.

Atlanta was awarded the rights to host the 2021 MLB All-Star Game back in 2019, but the event was ultimately moved to Denver just before the regular season began. The move – one publicly supported by President Joe Biden at the time – was made in response to Georgia introducing the Election Integrity Act of 2021, which was widely seen as a law that restricted voting rights in the state.

Manfred reflected on the decision Thursday, more than two years removed from the politics, threats and protests.

"I made the decision in 2021 to move the event, and I understand that — believe me — people had then and probably still have different views as to the merits of that decision," Manfred said.

Truist Park is one of five active MLB ballparks that has yet to host an MLB All-Star Game, but that list will get trimmed down to two over the next few years. The Texas Rangers' GlobeLife Field is the site for the 2024 Midsummer Classic, while the Philadelphia Phillies will host the 2026 All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park.

Yankee Stadium and Tropicana Field will be the only parks left without having ever hosted an All-Star Game. Since the Tampa Bay Rays are scheduled to move to a new stadium in 2028, it is unlikely Tropicana Field ever hosts the event.
