The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Boston Red Sox on Monday night by a score of 7-6. The two teams will play again on Tuesday at Fenway Park with first pitch slated for 7:10 p.m.

The Boston Red Sox dropped game one of a three-game series to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night, losing 7-6, on a game that featured six home runs and eight first inning runs.

The two teams will run it back on Tuesday night in game two of the series from Fenway Park with the starting lineups looking like this:

It's the first start of the year for Pivetta, who owns a lifetime 40-50 record and a 5.02 ERA. He went 10-12 last season with a 4.56 and is entering his fourth year with the Red Sox after being acquired during the 2020 COVID-shortened season in a trade that sent Heath Hembree and Brandon Workman to Philadelphia.

3) Andrew McCutchen, RF

SP: Roansy Contreras

Reynolds is coming off a game in which he hit two home runs. He's off to a fast start for Pittsburgh after requesting a trade in the offseason. Reports circulated last week of him being close to a contract extension with the Buccos, but nothing official yet.

Contreras went 5-5 last year in 21 games with a 3.79 ERA.

The Red Sox are 2-2 on the season. Pittsburgh has the same record.
