Arizona Diamondbacks' 2023 Regular Season Schedule

MLB schedules will look quite a bit different in 2023, as each team will play the 29 MLB teams for the first time in baseball history. Here's a look at the Arizona Diamondbacks' entire schedule for the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Diamondbacks will open the 2023 season in Los Angeles, playing a four-game series against the Dodgers, before traveling to San Diego for a two-game series with the Padres.

The Diamondbacks will play their home opener Thurs., April 6, when the Dodgers come to town. They will then play host to the Milwaukee Brewers before traveling to Miami and St. Louis for a pair of three-game series with the Brewers and Cardinals.

For the first time ever, the Diamondbacks will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Diamondbacks fans will get a chance to see the reigning 2022 World Series champion Houston Astros, when the Astros come to town for the final series of the regular season.

The schedule change will also provide help to teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The Diamondbacks play in what is expected to be a relatively competitive National League West. The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a 111-win season. Two years ago, the San Francisco Giants won 107 games. The San Diego Padres defeated the Dodgers in the National League Division Series last fall, reaching their first NLCS since 1998. The Arizona Diamondbacks have a roster full of exciting young players, and the Colorado Rockies hope to bounce back in 2023 with a healthy Kris Bryant.

The Diamondbacks are coming off 74-win season in 2022, a 22-win improvement from 2021. The club hopes to continue to move in the right direction and compete for a playoff spot in 2023.
