Kansas City Royals' 2023 Official Regular Season Schedule

MLB schedules will look quite a bit different in 2023, as each team will play the 29 MLB teams for the first time in baseball history. Here's a look at the Kansas City Royals' entire schedule for the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season.

The Kansas City Royals are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Royals will open the season at home against the Minnesota Twins, before playing host to the Toronto Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals will then travel to San Francisco and Texas to play the Giants and Rangers, before returning home for a pair of three-game series against the Atlanta Braves and the Rangers.

For the first time ever, the Royals will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Royals fans will get a chance to see stars Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts play at Kauffman Stadium when the Los Angeles Dodgers come to town the first weekend of July.

The schedule change will benefit teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. It will not aid teams like the White Sox, who might be playing in the American League's weakest division, the American League Central, in 2023.

The Royals are coming off a 65-win season in which they finished dead last in the AL Central in 2022. The Royals have not made the postseason since 2015, when they last won the World Series.
