Kevin Lee Rips UFC Fights At The Apex: "I Don't Know What We're Doing"

Kevin Lee will be making his UFC return this weekend, but he takes issue with one aspect of his promotional comeback.

Lee will be in action this Saturday (July 1) at UFC Vegas 76. "The Motown Phenom" will be competing in the featured preliminary bout on the card. He'll share the Octagon with Rinat Fakhretdinov, who hasn't lost a fight since 2014.

When Kevin Lee returns to the Octagon, he won't be doing so inside a typical arena. Instead, he'll be competing inside the intimate confines of the UFC Apex.

Speaking to reporters during the UFC Vegas 76 pre-fight press conference, Lee admitted he wishes he was fighting in front of more fans in a traditional arena.

"Yeah, I'm not gonna lie I wish it was," Lee said. "I wish it was in front of more fans. I don't know how many people are gonna be at Apex, but it's kind of stupid. I don't know what we're doing. You know what I mean? The pandemic's over. I don't know if people got the message or if they sent out the telegram, but the pandemic is over. I don't know what we're still doing here."

Ultimately, Lee understands the task at hand regardless of the venue.

"Imma go out there on Saturday in front of the two, 300 rich ass motherf****** that wanna see me bleed and we're gonna get it in," Lee said.
