Sean Strickland's Brutally Honest Take On Kamaru Usman vs. Khamzat Chimaev

The well-known UFC middleweight has some thoughts on Kamaru Usman vs. Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland has shared his take on a potential clash between Kamaru Usman and Khamzat Chimaev.

Usman, the former UFC Welterweight Champion, and Chimaev have both expressed interest in the fight. Usman initially suggested a catchweight bout, but that idea was quickly dismissed by UFC President Dana White. With that said, the UFC boss seems intrigued by the matchup if it's contested at welterweight or even middleweight.

If the fight comes to fruition, it'll be a huge test for Chimaev. On the flip side, some believe it could catapult Chimaev into superstar status.

During an interview with Helen Yee, Strickland weighed in on the possible matchup.

"The thing about Usman, man, cardio," Strickland said. "He just has cardio, you know? I don't necessarily know which one is better on a skill level, but I will say that Usman, he's the veteran. He's had a lot of title fights, a lot of five-rounders. So, only the Gods know."

Usman lost two straight bouts to Leon Edwards, who is the current UFC Welterweight Champion. Chimaev is undefeated with a pro MMA record of 12-0. Something has to give if these two collide, and fight fans are hoping for an announcement soon.
