UFC's Israel Adesanya Doubles Down On Poor Judging: "Let Them Explain Themselves"

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya is tired of seeing controversial score totals in MMA.
Adesanya has been quite vocal about judging after his City Kickboxing teammate, Kai Kara-France lost a controversial split decision to Amir Albazi earlier this month in the UFC Vegas 74 main event.
"The Last Stylebender" has called for athletic commissions to hold judges accountable. Adesanya has suggested that judges be allowed to answer questions from media members after their scorecards.

Appearing in-studio for MMAFighting's "The MMA Hour," Adesanya told Ariel Helwani that the judges are taking money out of the pockets of fighters.
"The judges need to be held accountable 'cause Kai's got a baby on the way," Adesanya said. "He's a father to a beautiful boy and he's got his beautiful wife. They need to be held accountable, these judges, because they're taking the livelihood of great men and just, I don't wanna say ruining their legacies but just like come on, man. $100k, that's a lot for a guy who's got a baby on the way and they need that. That's food on the table, but they need to be held accountable. Put them at the post-fight press conference. They need to be held accountable and explain why was this the decision you made."
The UFC middleweight king wants to see the judges appear at UFC post-fight press conferences to explain themselves whenever there is a controversial decision.
"Put them on the post-fight press conference, sit down and let them explain themselves," Adesanya said.
