Video: UFC Star Conor McGregor Goes Wild in New 'Road House' Trailer

McGregor throws down with Jake Gyllenhaal in the film's official trailer.

The official trailer for the upcoming remake of Road House has finally been released and features an unhinged Conor McGregor playing what looks to be the film's main antagonist.

A remake of the 1989 film that starred Patrick Swayze, Road House features Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role as a former UFC fighter that takes a job as a roadhouse bouncer in the Florida Keys.

UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey was tabbed to star in the film back in 2015 before those plans fell apart, but McGregor was brought in once the project finally got rolling and features prominently in the recently-released trailer.

Details on how big of a part “The Notorious” would have in Road House have been relatively sparse since it was announced he'd appear in the film, but based on the trailer it looks as if the former two-division UFC champion has plenty of screen time opposite Gyllenhaal.

McGregor’s role will certainly help to bring some extra attention to Road House, and the timing of both the trailer and release of the film may also provide good exposure for the Irishman as he prepares to finally return to the Octagon at some point in 2024.

UFC CEO Dana White has unfortunately dismissed McGregor’s announcement that he’d be returning in June to fight Michael Chandler in a middleweight bout, but fight fans can look forward to seeing “The Notorious” throw down with Gyllenhaal when Road House releases on Prime Video on March 21.
