Michael Page introduced himself in a big way Saturday night at UFC 299, defeating Kevin Holland by decision in the third fight on the main card portion.

Known for his flashy strikes, Page, who previously competed under the Bellator banner, did all he could to finish Holland, although he was nearly finished himself, but to no avail.

Page's victory puts him in a prime position to compete amongst the top 10 in the welterweight division, as it was his 22nd win over 24 fights.

Page entered the bout having won his last six outings dating back to Nov. 2019, including wins against Douglas Lima and Derek Anderson.

Page, 36, is one of the UFC's latest high-profile signings, joining ex-PFL champion Kayla Harrison, who competes at UFC 300.

It is unknown who Page will match up with next, but it is known that 170 pounds just got more exciting and more profound.

The co-main and main event roll on from Miami. UFC 299 is the penultimate card before UFC 300, which takes place on April 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC 299 is the eighth event on the MMA leader's calendar. The promotion has events either confirmed or tentatively set through June.
