UFC Legend Mark Hunt: 'I Was Offered 3 or 4 Million Dollars to Take a Dive'

Mark Hunt makes a big revelation.

UFC veteran and MMA legend Mark Hunt alleges that he was offered "three or four million dollars" to throw a fight in Australia.

"The Super Samoan" appeared on The MMA Hour on January 10, where in a discussion about his legal disputes with the UFC, he suddenly revealed that a promotor had tried to bribe him in the past:

"I've always been one for saying if things aren't right," Hunt explained. "...You know, I was offered three or four million dollars to take a dive in a fight here in Australia.

"I said 'Are you serious?!' I said 'No' because that's just not me... although I could have done with the money... That's just not my character, it's not me. I'd rather just go out with my shield and lose or die. It's not what I'm about."

Hunt didn't elaborate on the fight other than the fact it was in Australia and that the bribe was seven figures, indicating it was a peak time in his fighting career.

Hunt was featured in seven Australian UFC events in his career. He most notably fought in two professional boxing matches after departing from the UFC, losing to Paul Gallen by UD, and scoring a major upset KO against Sonny Bill Williams in 2022.

The New Zealand native has his eyes set on bare-knuckle boxing as he looks to rekindle his relationship with professional fighting. At 50 years of age, "The Super Samoan" looks to fight three times in 2024:
