Bryan Battle has entered the UFC record book with a 14-second knockout of Gabriel Green at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Almeida.

Green came out guns blazing, looking to put Battle out to pasture as soon as possible. He backed Battle to the fence, winging wild hooks up high and down to the body.

In a heated exchange, Green's defence dropped and Battle capitalized, landing a huge right hook on Green's chin, flooring him and following up with ground and pound to secure the finish.

Battle, the winner of "The Ultimate Fighter" (TUF) season 29, now becomes joint-eighth for the fastest KO/TKO in the UFC, joining the likes of Stefan Struve and Jens Pulver.

"Charlotte I love you!" Battle announced to the crowd after his victory. "I'm never going to lose in Charlotte; not in front of my people; not in front of my friends; not in front of my family. I love you guys all so much "

Bryan Battle Continues to Defy All Odds

Entering the TUF finale, Battle was the underdog against Tresean Gore. Battle worked hard to grind out a unanimous decision victory.

"The Butcher" (formerly "Pooh Bear") had a tough UFC debut against the dangerous Takashi Sato. Battle silenced his TUF critics by knocking Sato out cold with a head kick just 44 seconds into the first round.

Battle's first UFC defeat was at the hands of Rinat Fakhretdinov, a highly-touted Russian phenom. Despite losing on the cards, Battle impressed fans by toughing out a 15-minute grappling war with a highly-regarded prospect.

Battle wasn't expected to knock out Green at UFC Charlotte, but "The Butcher" made a huge statement and put his name in the UFC record books indefinitely.
