Kaynan Kruschewsky (15-1-1) has made a successful debut under the UFC banner with a spectacular rear-naked choke finish of Dylan Mantello on Dana White's Contender Series.

The former Jungle Fight lightweight champion looked stiff in the opening minute and caught some hard shots from his opponent. It took a moment for Kruschewsky to warm up before he stepped on the gas and stormed Mantello with some thudding offense.

Mantello jumped the guillotine on a successful takedown from Kruschewsky, but it wasn't successful. As the American scrambled to his feet, "Bahia" jumped on his back and slung his hooks in, Mantello tried and failed to shake the Brazilian off his back, but it was too little too late. Kruschewsky sunk in a deep rear-naked choke, and in a matter of seconds, Mantello went limp and the fight was called off.

This marks the sixth straight victory for Kruschewsky and his ninth overall submission. In a career spanning 15 victories, the Brazilian terror has finished 13 opponents, including UFC standout Adriano Martins - who owns the sole victory over current LW champ Islam Makhachev.

Interestingly enough, Kruschewsky was scheduled to fight Deiveson Figueiredo in a flyweight bout back in 2016, which would have been interesting to see had it not been cancelled.

"Bahia" now awaits the word of whether he earned himself a UFC contract. One thing is for certain, he'll be on the radar of any top lightweight on the roster with tonight's performance.
