'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) season 31 premieres on May 30 and the marketing machine is already in motion. A new excerpt has been released on the ESPN MMA YouTube channel, previewing the first moments the TUF 31 fighters met their head coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.

UFC President Dana White gathered all the TUF contestants to meet their new coaches. Introducing McGregor first, White reeled off the Irish superstar's UFC history,  including his pay-per-view records, worldwide notoriety, and layoff after breaking his tibia against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor gazed at the contestants before White introduced Chandler. "Michael Chandler is as badass as they come," White proclaimed. "He stands toe-to-toe with anybody." Chandler's highlights were selected from all of his UFC appearances.

With puffed chests and chins held high, McGregor and Chandler peered over the contestants before the promo cut back to White.

"When it's all said and done, these two are going to face off in what is sure to be one of the biggest fights in UFC history," White remarked.

McGregor has been seen sparring with a TUF 31 contestant in new footage. "The Notorious" is seen pressuring his student, catching a head kick and backing him to the fence before throwing a head kick of his own.

The student circles away from McGregor, who gives him room to breathe. McGregor feints a dip as though he's shooting a straight left to the body, "oh happy days" McGregor sings before a pause in the action takes place.

Moments later, the Irish superstar loops a huge right uppercut which splits the guard of his partner and cranks his head right back. They scuffle and McGregor breaks free, he playfully stalks his partner before throwing a right body shot which lands clean. After some more stalking, McGregor lands his patented left cross, and his partner pauses the action to walk to an assistant coach.

The student's vision is being obscured by his head guard and he wants it adjusted. A bemused McGregor lectures his partner on using his peripherals, bringing up his own anecdote about having a bar across his injured nose during a training camp.

"Use your periphery," McGregor exclaims. "You can do it blindfolded."

The two carry on. McGregor lets his partner work, before landing the exact same lead-hand uppercut as before. The video cuts off before the action could continue.
