Blenders Supports San Diego State Basketball with Limited-Edition Sunglasses

Eyewear brand collaborates with MESA Foundation, 100% of proceeds going to men's and women's basketball programs

Blenders Eyewear - the sunglasses company made famous last season by Colorado football coach Deion Sanders - has expanded their college sports program by supporting the San Diego State men's and women's basketball programs with a "March Radness" campaign.

In collaboration with the Aztecs' official collective the MESA Foundation, the San Diego-based eyewear brand will launch a limited-edition pair of sunglasses with 100% of the proceeds going to the school's basketball players.

Blenders Eyewear Founder and CEO Chase Fisher - a San Diego State alum - has hoped to partner with his alma mater since he first founded the company in 2012. Now with NIL, the black and red Aztec-themed shades will be able to directly support student-athletes' bank accounts.

"This partnership marks a full-circle moment for me," said Fisher. "San Diego State University ignited my entrepreneurial journey, and now it's our turn to give back. Through our March Radness campaign and the launch of 'TWELVE,' we're not just celebrating our anniversary. We're giving back to the place that sparked my journey while empowering the next wave of SDSU's trailblazers."

300 pairs of the exclusive 'TWELVE' sunglasses will be available on Blenders Eyewear's website for $79 on March 1.

"We're thrilled to team up with Blenders Eyewear for an incredible initiative that will support our student athletes," said Jeff Smith, Founder and President of the Mesa Foundation. "Chase's journey serves as a testament to the transformative potential within our student community, and this contribution to our cause marks a thrilling moment for our men's basketball program."

The Aztecs' men's team - that advanced to last year's National Championship - is currently 22-7 on the season and ranked No. 20. The women's team is 4th in the Mountain West at 18-10.
