Dunkin' NIL Partnership Helps UConn Star Bueckers Surprise Local High School

Huskies basketball star Paige Bueckers took part in a high school pep rally to kick off the semester

UConn basketball star Paige Bueckers used her NIL partnership with Dunkin’ to take part in a massive pep rally at Enfield High School in Enfield, Conn., earlier this week.

Per CT Insider, Bueckers’ appearance at the school has been in the works for several months and came just a few hours after she returned from a Huskies road game.

Bueckers took part in a pep rally that entertained 1,500 students and was facilitated by Dunkin’ with the leadership at Enfield High.

She only appeared for 30 minutes, but it was the highlight of a pep rally designed to kick off the school’s second semester. The student body did not know she was coming.

Bueckers beat the principal in a game of H-O-R-S-E, refereed a Unified Sports game later too photos and selfies with students, each of whom got a donut from Dunkin’ during the event. She even came back to the gym after the event was over to get in some jump shots.

Bueckers is one of the most marketable women’s basketball players in the country. She was one of the first players to partner with top brands after the opening of the NIL market, including partnerships with Gatorade and Nike. That was before she suffered an ACL tear that cost her the entire 2021-22 season.

She returned this season and also has deals with Leaf Trading Cards, GoArmy and a partnership with the Bleeding Blue for Good collective. She also used a partnership with education technology company Chegg to donate $50,000 to the Husky Harvest food pantry.

With an On3 NIL valuation of $652,000, Bueckers is averaging 20.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and one of the leading candidates for national player of the year as the Huskies prepare to face Notre Dame on Saturday in a Top 25 matchup.
