Jayco Roper Annihilates Competition at Prairie Circuit Finals

Jayco Roper started off his 2024 season the same way he started his 2023 season, winning the RAM Prairie Circuit Finals in Duncan, Oklahoma. Roper swept away the his competitors by winning the first two rounds and tying for second in the third and final round.
He won the first round with an 84.5-point ride on Big Rafter Rodeo's "Family Traditions." Roper's second round win came in on his 84.5-point ride on Frontier Rodeo's "Prime News." He finished the final round off tying with Colt Eck on their 83-point rides. Roper finished off the rodeo in Duncan first in the average with a total of 252 points on three head.
Followed in a distant second, was Colt Eck with his hard work and determination. Eck placed fourth in the first and second rounds and tied for the number two spot in the final round. Eck established his spot in the average with 232 points collectively.
Gauge McBride was so close to being in that number two spot overall, but fell short by just on point. McBride was an average rider the frist two nights, but something clicked in the final round. McBride won the final round with an 84-point ride on Frontier Rodeo's "Mighty Tricking." After winning the round, McBride etched his name into the third place spot with 235 points on the weekend.
Finally the cowboy in fourth place was Ty Blessing. Blessing came in fourth in the first round, as well as the second round. Blessing couldn't accumulate enough points in the final round to put his name higher on the leaderboard. Blessing finished the weekend off in fourth in the average with 231.5 points on three head.
Roper is already making it clear that he wants another trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. This year will be Roper's first year to the NFR and hopefully not his last. Roper is starting his 2024 season off right with a back to back win at the RAM Prairie Circuit Finals.

Kaleb Kistner is from New Braunfels, a small community nestled in the Texas Hill Country. There’s only one “s” in Braunfels! Growing up in Comal County, it was an annual tradition to attend the Comal County Fair and Rodeo. Down the road was the San Antonio Stockshow and Rodeo, that his grandparents would religiously take him to each year. Along with the annual rodeos, Kaleb was an active member in FFA throughout high school. Showing rabbits and pigs, assisting with steers and goats, and participating in leadership development events, Kaleb received a well-rounded, basic education in agriculture. On top of that, Kaleb earned his Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America. Kaleb has a strong work ethic and love for agriculture and the great outdoors. He hopes to be able to spread his knowledge and bring a better understanding of the Western way of life to those who may not understand. Kaleb has pursued a career in plumbing, continuing to achieve each possible license as quickly as he can. Kaleb has a beautiful fiancée Makayla and his sweet daughter Kinleigh. During his down time, he and his family enjoy going to their parents’ ranches to spend time with the family.
