Stephenville's Pro-Rodeo offers one performance left for athletes to punch their ticket for a check to add to their season earnings. Over the last few days riders have turned in fast times and high scores.

Time is running out for the competitors to solidify spots in the top 15 of each event in the world standings and earn a spot at the National Finals Rodeo. At the conclusion of the Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo, only the exclusive Cinch Playoffs Governor's Cup remains.

Besides the 12 athletes in each of the rodeo events who earned a spot in the prestigious Cinch Playoff Finals, this is one of the last chances for the athletes to qualify for the NFR.

Right out of the chute in bareback riding during Saturday night, second in the world Leighton Berry turned in an 83-point ride. Chad Rutherford, a 2020 NFR qualifier, was right behind Berry with an 82-point ride.

Currently, in the third position is 20-year-old Owen Brouillette with a 81.5-point ride. Seven bareback riders remain to compete in today's performance including fan-favorite Rocker Steiner.

Steer wrestling still has a 3.9-second time up top with both Marc Joiner and Tyler Pearson. Behind Joiner and Pearson is Justin Shaffer with a 4.3-second go. 11th in the world standings, Cody Devers, is one of the competitors up in today's performance along with nine other steer wrestlers.

Over in team roping, the athletes have been turning up the heat and stopping the clock milli-seconds apart. Two teams are still at the top with with a time of 3.9 seconds. Tyler Wade, number four in the heading standings, and his partner, Wesley Thorp, second in the world heeling standings, had a 3.9 second run. Brothers J.C and L.J. Yeahquo may not be sitting in the top-20 in the worlds standings, but they weren’t going to let Wade and Wesley be the only 3.9-second team. Only one-tenth of a second behind is Korbin Rice and Jake South with 4.0 seconds

Saturday's performance changed the saddle-bronc riding leaderboard completely. On top is an 86-point ride from Riggin Smith. Two points behind Smith is Parker Fleet with an 84-point ride. Hot on Fleet's trail is Weston Patterson with an 83-point ride. Today's performance is one to pay attention to especially in the saddle bronc riding. Not one, not two, but three members of champions Wright family are riding- Stuart, Spencer, and Statler Wright. Chase Brooks, 11th in the world standings, as well as hometown athlete and seven time NFR qualifier, Sterling Crawley will both be competing today.

In the tie-down roping, we have not seen a shift in the leaderboard. Caleb Smidt is 13th in the World and is currently leading with a 7.8-second run. Second is Blane Cox, who is number 11 in the world, with an 8.1-second go. First in the world standings, Riley Webb, the number one tie-down roper in the world, is sitting third. There will be no lack of competition roping today though with third in the World Standings, Shad Mayfield, and 11th in the World Standings, John Douch.

In the barrels, Sissy Winn along with the other barrel racers, have held strong to their spots on the leaderboard since the slack round Thursday.

Sissy Winn remains in first with a 16.91-second run. Wenda Johnson is second with a 16.93. Summer Kosel is just four-hundredths of a second behind Johnson with a 16.97-second run. Number one in the world standings, Brittany Tonozzi and seventh in the world, Emily Beisel are set to run today.

Tonozzi and Beisel are not the only fast competition to look out for. Past NFR qualifiers, Tiany Schuster and Leslie Smalygo are bringing the heat as well as hometown competitor and daughter of a NFR qualifier, Acey Pinkston.

Today at noon is the last performance of the Cowboy Capitol Pro Rodeo.
