There's More Than Just NFR for Barrel Racing in Las Vegas

The National Finals Rodeo is coming to Las Vegas from Dec. 7 through 16, bringing along not only the top rodeo competitors but also the best rodeo fans from all over the world.
The top-15 qualifying athletes in the rodeo events won't be the only ones competing in an arena those ten days in Las Vegas.
Many other events around the city will be going on for bull riders, team ropers and other rodeo athletes.
This includes the All In Barrel Race.
Barrel racers come from hundreds of miles away to compete in this race.
The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas has been the host hotel for the past few years and when competitors enter one of the two races they receive a room for the duration of their race along with a contestant jacket and two runs in the qualifying rounds of the race they select.
This ever popular race is limited on entries but open to any combination of horse and rider no matter the age.
The race is a 5D format, five divisions, and will be split in half seconds off of the leading time. The top-15 in each division and in each round will move on to the showdown round.
In the showdown round, the guaranteed payout for first in each "D" or division is as follows:
1D- $20,000
2D-$15,000
3D-$14,000
4D-$13,000
5D-$12,000
Not only do the winners receive a hefty check but also a stunning award saddle.
On top of the winners in each division in the showdown round, second through fifth place is paid out. In the qualifying rounds first through tenth in each division are paid out along with many incentives including futurity, youth, senior, derby, high stakes and adult.
There are numerous chances for competitors to earn money.
Also going on will be an American Rodeo Contender Race held in conjunction with the All In.
Las Vegas will be in no shortage of horse power this coming month and all the competition will be fierce.
