A new generation of head coaches is taking over the NFL, and there is no better example of the changing tide than Mike McDaniel. The 40-year-old has proven himself different from his predecessors in many ways, one of which is his selection of footwear.

During Sunday's game between the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers, McDaniel wore a rare pair of Nike sneakers that left fans drooling. Since taking over as the Dolphins head coach, McDaniel has regularly shown off his sneaker rotation. But the wunderkind outdid himself on Sunday.

McDaniel rocked a pair of Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. The late great fashion designer Virgil Abloh helped reimagine the iconic silhouette as a part of the "Ghosting Series." The sneakers were released in November 2017 for $170 and now carry an average resale price of $2,450 on StockX.

The white and sail colorway features a translucent upper and several distinctive features. The red zip-tie and the words "Shoelaces" on the laces and "Air" on the translucent sole stand out on the low-profile model. Lastly, the Off-White branding appears on the medial sides of each shoe.

Since the vast majority of our readers would never dream of dropping that kind of money on sneakers, there is good news. Online shoppers can choose between several styles and colorways of the Air Force 1 on the Nike website.

Since arriving in Miami last year, McDaniel has continued to exceed expectations on the field. Now, the prodigy coach is taking over the sneaker community. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
