AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg promises to be an eventful homecoming for Kenny Omega.

AEW's first and only grand slam champion will pull double duty in his hometown, setting his Dynasty plans in stone and wrestling in front of tonight's crowd in Canada Life Centre.

Kenny Omega and MJF will have a contract signing for their upcoming AEW World Championship bout at AEW Dynasty. Last week, Kenny Omega defeated Swerve Strickland to become the new number one contender and take the next step towards becoming a world champion once again.

The last time the two men met in the ring was in 2023 when MJF defeated Omega to retain the AEW World Championship in his first reign, breaking Omega's record and becoming the longest-reigning world champion in AEW history. Now that Kenny Omega is in better health and spirits, he's hoping that the rematch will yield a different result. MJF has specified that if the contract signing has any physicality, the match will be called off.

The contract signing won't be the only thing on Kenny Omega's plate tonight. He'll also be teaming up with the new AEW National Champion "Jungle" Jack Perry and Brody King to take on The Demand. Ricochet is frustrated that Kenny Omega has "skipped the line" along his journey to the world title and wants to put him in his place in front of Omega's hometown crowd in Winnipeg.

Will Ricochet and The Demand be able to capitalize on Omega potentially being distracted by the contract signing?

Bastard vs. Assassin 2

In their last singles encounter, Will Ospreay defeated PAC at AEW All Out 2024 to retain the International Championship.

Now that Will Ospreay has returned to AEW, he's on a quest for revenge on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders after they brutally injured his neck and put him out of action for months at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door London last year. Before he gets his hands on Moxley at Dynasty, he'll have to go through Pac, a man he's very familiar with.

Ospreay defeated Pac in their only previous AEW singles match at AEW All Out 2024, but a lot has changed since their original thriller. Can Ospreay manage to put the Bastard down for the count of three one more time, or will Pac finally even the score and swing the pendulum into the Death Riders' favor?

Also on Dynamite

While Thekla and the Sisters of Sin continued to gloat about Toni Storm's recent long-term hiatus from AEW on AEW Collision, Mina Shirakawa has decided that she wants to avenge her partner tonight, and she's recruiting The Brawling Birds to make it happen.

The trio of Shirakawa, Alex Windsor, and Jamie Hayter will take on the Triangle of Madness in a six-woman tag team match. Which team will come out on top?
