Congratulations to El Dorado boys track and field star Deandra Burns for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week for March 14-20!

The junior was the high-point winner at the Oil Belt Relays. He won the 100 in 10.90 seconds, the 200 in 22.74 and the long jump in 23 feet, 1.75 inches.

Burns received 28.59% of the vote, beating out Van Buren's Megan Hutchinson who finished second with 21.06%. Greenwood's Kylie Lawson finished third with 15.17% and Lincoln's Brinkley Moreton finished fourth with 12.47%. There were over 31,000 votes tallied this week!

Christine Mefford, Bryant softball

Mefford did not allow a hit in 6 innings while striking out 8 in a 16-0 victory over Mount Saint Mary.

Reagan Dillon, Bryant softball

Dillon had a home run in the Lady Hornets’ 16-0 victory over Mount Saint Mary.

Brinkley Moreton, Lincoln softball

The freshman went 7-15 for the week with 2 triples, 3 home runs including an inside-the-park home run, a walk-off home run and a grand slam. She had 13 RBI. She pitched 10 innings in 2 games and struck out 24 batters, including 10 in a 4-inning perfect game.

Tripp Sullivan Lonoke baseball

The sophomore threw the third no-hitter of his career with 12 strikeouts in a 10-0 victory over Stuttgart He is now 4-0 with 0.30 ERA on the season.

Olivia Pielemeier, Lake Hamilton girls track and field

The senior finished fourth in the 1,600 at the Texas Distance Festival in Southlake, Texas in 4:545.77, the second-best time in Arkansas.

Sloan Jones, Fayetteville boys track and field

The sophomore won the 110 and 300 hurdles at the Bentonville Tiger Relays in 15.46 and 41.23 seconds.

Isaiah Sategna, Fayetteville boys track and field

The senior won the 100 and long jump at the Bentonville Tiger Relays in 10.94 seconds and 23 feet, 7 inches.

Emelia Thurston, Bentonville girls track and field

The junior won the 100 at the Bentonville Tigers Relays in 13.02 seconds along with the long jump in 17 feet, 11 inches.

Logan Stewart Pea Ridge baseball

The senior had 4 home runs on the weekend at the Ozarks Baseball Classic including a 2-run home run, 6 RBI performance in an 11-8 victory over Russellville.

Samantha De Luca, Episcopal Collegiate girls soccer

The junior had 4 goals and 1 assist in an 8-0 victory over Star City. She had 3 goals in a 3-0 victory over Maumelle Charter.

Avery Marsh, Episcopal Collegiate girls soccer

The senior had 3 goals in an 8-0 victory over Star City.

Braylon Buchanan, LISA Academy North boys track and field

The senior won the high jump at 6 feet, 7 inches and the long jump at 22-6 at the Little Rock Trojan High School Invitational.

Landon Parnell, Fort Smith Northside baseball

The sophomore did not allow a hit for 6 1/3 innings while throwing 89 pitches in a 7-2 victory over Bryant.

Brecklin Waters, Van Buren baseball

The senior had two hits in the seventh inning with the second one bringing in the winning runs in Van Buren’s 8-7 victory over Fort Smith Southside.

Logan Taylor, Alma baseball

The senior allowed 2 hits while throwing 83 pitches in a complete-game, 7-1 victory over Vilonia.

Kylie Lawson, Greenwood softball

The senior had 3 hits with 6 RBI and a 2-run home run in a 13-0 victory over Russellville.

Colton Sims, Russellville baseball

The senior threw a complete-game, 1-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory over Russellville with 8 strikeouts while throwing 70 pitches.

Anna Woolsey, Ozark girls track and field

The junior won the 100, 200 and 400 Greenwood Invitational. She won the three events in 12.93, 26.00 seconds and 1:04.49.

Seth Edwards Magnolia baseball

The senior struck out 17 in a complete game, 4-1 victory over Monticello.

Pedro Rodriguez, Van Buren boys soccer

The senior scored seven goals in two games to help Van Buren off a 6-1-1 start including 3-0 in the 5A-West Conference. Rodriguez scored 4 against Greenwood and 3 against Mountain Home.

Megan Hutchison, Van Buren girls soccer

The sophomore scored three goals in a 3-0 victory over Mountain Home and three in a 5-1 victory over Greenwood.

Quinn Johnson, Izard County softball

The freshman had 2 home runs and 5 RBI in helping Izard County win the Big Cat Classic in Yellville with a 5-4 victory over Flippin and 17-2 over Yellville-Summit.

Dax Goff, Booneville baseball

The sophomore went 2-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI in an 11-1 victory over Charleston.

Carmin Tolliver, Sylvan Hills girls track and field

The sophomore won the 100 meters in 12.61 seconds, the long jump in 18 feet, 7 inches and the triple jump in 38-3 at the Little Rock Trojan High School Invitational.

Matthew Benzing, Vilonia boys track and field

The junior won the 110- and 300 hurdles at the Sheridan Yellowjacket Relays in 15.84 and 42.48 seconds.

Juliah Rodgers, Jessieville girls track and field

The junior won the 800 and 1600 at the Sheridan Yellowjacket Relays in 2:25.54 and 5:20.48.

Chris Miller, Dardanelle baseball

The junior went 6-for-8 with 1 triple, 2 singles, 3 doubles, and 4 walks, 2 of which were intentional, in a 9-8 loss to Morrilton, an 11-1 victory over Scranton and an 11-1 loss to Farmington.

Russ Martin, Rose Bud baseball

The freshman has 26 strikeouts and no walks in 12 innings after a complete-game, 12 strikeout one-hitter this past week for the Ramblers.

Lillie-Faye McWhorter, Woodlawn softball

The freshman pitcher threw her third no-hitter of the season to lift the Lady Bears to their fifth win of the season and second win in the conference.

Liv Slayton, Baptist Prep softball

Went 11/17-3 HR-17 RBIs, with 2 grand slams in the same game, and pitched 9 innings giving up 3 hits-13Ks-1R.
