Born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Austin White has been covering high school sports for the past seven-plus years. He spent his first three years out of Colorado State University working the preps beat for the Pueblo Chieftain in Pueblo, Colorado, before moving to Portland, Oregon where he's covered preps since fall of 2021 as the former sports editor for the Portland Tribune and now on his own website Portland Preps. He began contributing to High School On SI in 2025.
