Photos: Toutle Lake boys hold off Willapa Valley 50-40 to earn regional berth, advance to 2B District 4 tournament finals

KELSO — Toutle Lake built a second half lead and held off Willapa Valley 50-40 on Wednesday night in a 2B District 4 regional semifinal at Kelso High School.
The Ducks were led by sophomore Jackson Cox's 16 points. Senior guard Broc Keeton added 13 points. They are ranked No. 3 in the WIAA's RPI, used to seed the state tournament, and take on the winner of Life Christian Academy and Winlock in the district finals Saturday at 8 p.m.
Willapa Valley, which sits at No. 9 in the WIAA's RPI rankings used to seed the state tournament, was led by 6-foot-3 senior guard Logan Walker's 19 points. The Vikings must beat Onalaska Friday at 6 p.m. in a loser-out, winner-to-regionals.
