Scorebook Live’s 2020 CIF LA City All-Section boys basketball teams
With the 2019-2020 high school basketball season winding down, Scorebook Live California reporter Connor Morrissette gives out his Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and All-Section accolades for Los Angeles City Section boys basketball.
Coach of the Year: Ed Azzam - Westchester
Azzam led Westchester to the Comets' 15th City Title in his tenure at the school. He's been coaching since 1979-80 and is the all time winningest coach in Section history.

Player of the Year: Fidelis Okereke - King/Drew - Senior
Okereke averaged 16 points, ten rebounds and five blocks this season. He was the City's most consistent player.

Newcomer of the Year: D'Anthony Ward - Washington Prep - Senior
After missing last season due to issues at home following his mother's death, Ward played his first season for Washington Prep this year and led the Generals to the Open Division playoffs and a runner up finish in the Gold Division at the Classic At Damien.
