FORT MYERS, Fla. - No team has won GEICO Nationals as many times as Montverde Academy.

The Eagles beat Link Academy (Missouri) 60-49 on Saturday to capture their sixth GEICO Nationals boys basketball championship - and their second in a row. 

Montverde, who opened as the preseason No. 1 team in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 rankings, was led by Dillon Mitchell's 17 points and 12 rebounds. Dariq Whitehead added 14 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds, and Malik Reneau had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
