Here are the candidates for the Scorebook Live Southern California girls basketball player of the week for Dec. 2-8, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Players from the Southern, LA City and San Diego Sections are considered. Emma Konsmo, Horizon Prep: Konsmo had 21 points, 18 rebounds, 20 blocks in Horizon Prep's 49-23 road win over Monarch Academy.

Cheyanne Whitfield, Lynwood: Whitfield scored an impressive 32 points in Lynwoods' 80-71 victory over Bishop Montgomery.

Jayda Curry, Corona Centennial: Curry led the way for Corona Centennial with 22 points in their 66-44 win over Marlborough.

Taylor Donaldson, Oaks Christian: Donaldson scored 28 points to help lead Oaks Christian to a 52-50 win over Viewpoint.

Anysa Baker, Dominguez High School: Baker scored 19 points for Dominguez in the Hawks Holiday Classic.

Madison Canon, Bonita Vista: Canon scored 20 points in Bonita Vista's 68-53 win over Bishops.
