Top 20 players to watch in 2020 CIF Southern Section boys basketball Division 2-AA playoffs

The CIF Southern Section has released their 2020 high school boys basketball playoff brackets, and we’re taking an inside look at the top players in each bracket.

The 32-team Division 2-AA boys basketball bracket is loaded with talent. Santa Clarita Christian and Heritage Christian are the two top seeds, and first-round games tip off on Wednesday.

MARANATHA

Christian Oliver - 2020

Oliver has three Division 1 scholarships, per 247Sports.

SANTA CLARITA CHRISTIAN

Ty Harper - 2020

Harper has scholarship offers from USC and Virgina Tech. He scored 32 points in a win over Heritage Christian in the Classic At Damien tournament in December.

Josh O'Garro - 2021

O'Garro is one of the best athletes in Division 2AA. He's a great dunker that also plays solid defense.

FAIRMONT PREP

Atin Wright - 2020

Wright, a 6-foot-one guard, signed an LOI with Cal State Northridge in November.

CHAMINADE

KJ Simpson - 2021

Simpson is one of the top juniors in the region. He scored 41 points in a Mission League Tournament win over St. Francis last week.

Keith Higgins - 2021

Higgins has received scholarship offers from five colleges, per 247Sports.

Abe Eagle - 2020

Eagle is having a strong senior season. He scored 24 points in a Mission League Tournament game last week and then received a scholarship offer from Cal State Northridge that night.

SANTA MONICA

Quincy McGriff - 2020

McGriff, a 6-foot-5 small forward, is committed to UTEP.

ROLLING HILLS PREP

JT Tan - 2020

Tan, a 6-foot-8 center, is committed to Lehigh.

Vaughn Flowers - 2020

Flowers scored a team high 17 points to lead the Huskies to a 51-49 win over Orange Lutheran at the Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei two weeks ago.

ST. BERNARD

Reese Dixon-Waters - 2021

Dixon-Waters is one of the top juniors in the region. He has six scholarship offers, per 247Sports.

Nick Bowden - 2020

Bowden is one of the best shooters in Southern California. He scored 51 points on senior night for the Vikings. He's also a fantastic leader.

ALEMANY

Brandon Whitney - 2020

Whitney is a Montana commit. He scored 31 points in a loss to Harvard-Westlake in the Mission League Tournament last week.

OAK PARK

Clark Slajchert - 2020

Slajchert is committed to Penn. He's one of the top scorers in the region.

ST. FRANCIS

Andre Henry - 2020

St. Francis head coach Todd Wolfson describes Henry as a coaches dream. He signed with UC Irvine in November.

SAN GABRIEL ACADEMY

Boubacar Coulibaly - 2020

Coulibaly, a six-foot-10 center, has a scholarship offer from Cal, per 247Sports.

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN

Skyy Clark - 2022

Clark is a national recruit at the point guard spot. He's one of the best players in the country in the 2022 class.

Justin Rochelin - 2021

Rochelin has been battling injuries this season but is expected to be back for the playoffs. He has 14 scholarship offers, per 247Sports.

Max Allen - 2022

Allen is developing into a legitimate big man for Heritage Christian. He has a scholarship offer from DePaul, per his Twitter account.
