Cathedral boys soccer beat Servite 4-2 in penalty kicks on Thursday.

ANAHEIM -- After playing to a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra time thanks to goals from Servite's Jesus Melgoza and Cathedral's Nile Nguidjol, Cathedral went on to beat Servite 4-2 in penalty kicks on Thursday. The win advances the Phantoms to the Division 1 CIF State Southern Regional championship against Loyola. Keeper Steven Ruiz made the game-winning save in the shootout.
