Former Tustin shortstop Anthony Walters was selected in the third round of the MLB Draft by the New York Mets.

Walters played for San Diego State and was projected by many to go undrafted in the shortened draft. He hit .271 in 2020 for the Aztecs. Before San Diego State, Walters spent one season with Cal and one season with Mt. San Antonio College.
