Southern Section releases All-CIF football selections: Mater Dei's David Bailey named Division 1 Defensive Player of the Year

Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year from all 14 Southern Section playoff divisions were chosen in addition to individual honorees.

The Southern Section released its annual list of All-CIF football players this week. The honors were selected by the Football Coaches Association. Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year from all 14 Southern Section playoff divisions were chosen in addition to individual honorees. All championship winning coaches were listed as well.

In Division 1, Mater Dei running back Raleek Brown was named the co-Offensive Player of the Year with Servite wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Mater Dei linebacker David Bailey was named Defensive Player of the Year.
