Palo Verde Valley broke the game open by scoring six runs in the fifth inning.

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Palo Verde Valley quickly erased a 1-0 deficit against Lincoln on Thursday afternoon, scoring a combined six runs in the second and third innings. The Yellow Jackets added five more runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Hornets, 11-4, securing their first San Diego Section baseball championship in school history.
