Pleasant won two gold medals on Saturday with victories in the 100 and 200
CLOVIS - Gardena Serra's Rodrick Pleasant finished his junior season of high school track and field in style on Saturday.
Pleasant swept the individual sprints at the CIF State Track & Field Championships, winning the 100 in 10.30 and the 200 in 20.56. Both times were wind-aided.
Last week Pleasant ran a wind legal 10.14 to break the California state record at the Southern Section Masters Meet.
Pleasant is rated the nation's No. 9 cornerback, making him one of the best two-sport athletes in the country. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back has more than 20 Division I college football offers.
