Look: Reigning state champion Etiwanda dominates at H.O.P.E. Showcase

Aliyahna "Puff" Morris, Mykelle Richards, and Arynn Finley led the top team in California to a dominant showing

CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA - Etiwanda girls basketball looks to continue its historic run in 2023-24.

The Eagles won their first Southern Section Open Division championship two seasons ago and their first CIF State Open Division championship in March. Entering the new season, all indications are that Etiwanda is ready to pursue its first national championship with what may be its best team yet.

On Oct. 7, Etiwanda went 2-0 in lopsided wins at the 5th Annual H.O.P.E. Showcase.  Aliyahna "Puff" Morris, Mykelle Richards, and Arynn Finley led the way as the Eagles routed Buena Park and Birmingham despite missing 5-star wing/forwards Kennedy Smith and Grace Knox.
