MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA — Sully Bailey threw four touchdown passes to lead Acalanes to a 35-23 victory over Birmingham on Saturday afternoon in the CIF State Division 3-AA football championship game at Saddleback College.

Bailey completed 23-of-36 passes for 290 yards.

It marked the first state football title for the Dons (11-4).

Birmingham held a 21-14 halftime advantage.

Bailey connected on a 34-yard touchdown pass to receiver Trevor Rogers to give Acalanes a 28-23 lead with 11:53 remaining in the fourth quarter. 

Rogers finished with seven receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
